Job Title: Barn Manager
Location: Benbrook Stables: 10001 Benbrook Blvd., Fort Worth, TX 76126
We are seeking an experienced and dedicated Barn Manager to join our team at Benbrook Stables, home to about 65 horses. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in horse care, facility management, and leadership, with a passion for ensuring the well-being of the animals and maintaining a high standard for our facilities.
Key Responsibilities:
Animal Care:
Oversee the daily health and well-being of all horses, including feeding. Grooming, training, and addressing any medical needs in coordination with veterinarians and farriers if your skills allow. Training is reserved for those with training abilities and experience.
Monitor the physical condition of the horses, ensuring any health issues are identified and addressed promptly.
Qualifications:
Prior experience in barn management or similar roles.
Strong knowledge of horse care, health, and stable operations.
Leadership and organizational skills to manage a team and coordinate day-to-day activities.
Ability to handle physical demands of the role, including lifting, walking, and operating equipment.
Must live near-by, and have reliable transportation (We do not have housing)
Legal to work in the US
Able to pass background check and drug tests
Flexible availability
Schedule:
Full-time: 5 days a week, including weekends. Two days off during the week.

This package includes feeding your horse twice daily with a custom grain mix of whole oats, barley, corn, and oil, and providing Texas coastal hay sourced from irrigated fields. Your horse will also enjoy daily turnout on 25 acres of lush pasture, ensuring plenty of time to graze and roam. We clean stalls, feed buckets, and water buckets daily, ensuring a clean and healthy environment.
Partial Care Boarding
For those who prefer to be more hands-on, our Partial Care option offers the convenience of full care while allowing you to provide your own grain and hay. This option also includes daily turnout on our 25-acre pasture and daily cleaning of stalls, feed buckets, and water buckets.
Spacious and Safe Turnout Areas
Located on 100 acres of scenic land at the trailhead of Lake Benbrook’s equestrian trails, our stables offer a secure and spacious environment for your horse. We have thoughtfully divided approximately 90 acres into safe, well-maintained pastures with pipe and slick horse wire fencing, ensuring plenty of room for your horse to graze and roam.
