Meet the Instructors pt.1 at Benbrook Stables

Lakayla is one of the newest members of our team. At only 19 years old, she is our youngest instructor. However, she has a lifetime of experience.

Lakayla has been riding horses since she was three years old. We first met her at a very young age when she attended a handful of playdays at Benbrook Stables.

Lakayla grew up in a rodeo family who taught her the love and respect of horses. Throughout her life, Lakayla has competed in youth rodeos, high school rodeos, and attended Sul Ross, on a rodeo scholarship. LaKayla has extensive experience in goat tying, barrel racing and, basic horsemanship. She is very knowledgeable in western riding and all speed events. She has won 14 buckles so far in her rodeo career including, Goat Tying, Reserve Champion, Showmanship from FFA, San Antonio Champion, and Sul Ross State Rodeo Queen, just to name a few. We are so happy to welcome Lakayla to our team. She is fun, energetic and, amazing with kids and adults alike.
